With each new model year comes a wide array of changes and enhancements meant to improve the overall driving experience. The 2017 Mazda CX-5 is no exception. Mazda has completely redesigned the CX-5 from the inside out, meaning there are quite a few notable differences between the 2017 and 2016 CX-5 models.
What’s new for the 2017 Mazda CX-5?
Designed to be “an SUV all customers will enjoy,” the 2017 CX-5 features upgraded elements in terms of style, technology, and performance. Let’s take a closer look.
Every stroke and line of the Mazda CX-5’s exterior has a purpose, and the new Soul Red Crystal color option was made to complement every curve and edge. The 2017 CX-5 interior prioritizes passenger comfort and cargo space while making the driver the focus of the entire design, thanks to the available Active Driving Display and strategically placed Commander control knob.
On top of the multiple technology elements carried over from 2016, the 2017 Mazda CX-5 features rearranged speakers that improve sound quality throughout the interior while reducing unnecessary rattling. Available i-ACTIVSENSE® safety features make use of milliwave radars and cameras to enhance safety and help alert drivers to potential collisions before they happen.
For improved driveability, the 2017 Mazda CX-5 offers the available i-ACTIV AWD® system that is able to monitor a wide array of elements, from the outside temperature to braking patterns, in order to deliver the best possible road traction. The 2017 CX-5 also offers SKYACTIV-VEHICLE DYNAMICS with G-Vectoring Control, which helps with precise steering and optimal load control.
