Mazda Feature Highlight: i-ACTIVSENSE
Automotive safety has come a long way since the days of seat belts, airbags and, well, little else. These days, in fact, it’s not just the driver that has to worry about keeping everyone in the vehicle safe. Because now the vehicle helps, too. Yes, driver attentiveness and safe driving habits will always be the best way to get to and from your destination safe and sound. But now your Mazda has an active part to play in keeping everyone safe, as well. And that’s thanks to Mazda’s i-ACTIVSENSE advanced safety technologies.

Mazda i-ACTIVSENSE Active Safety Features
The safety features found under the Mazda i-ACTIVSENSE umbrella are split into two categories – active safety features and pre-crash safety features. We’ll get to the pre-crash safety features in a second, but let’s begin with the active safety features that are constantly on the lookout for hazards in your path. These features use detection devices including milliwave radars and cameras to keep an eye on the entire area around your Mazda and alert you to anything that could cause a problem. These safety features include an adaptive front-lighting system, high-beam control, Mazda Radar Cruise Control, a rear vehicle monitoring system, a lane departure warning system and a forward obstruction warning system.
Mazda i-ACTIVSENSE Pre-Crash Safety Features
The Mazda i-ACTIVSENSE system will use its pre-crash safety features to help reduce the impact and severity of collisions should they occur. These features include acceleration control for automatic transmissions, which curb sudden acceleration when the pedal is pressed by mistake or when the system senses detects hazards in the vehicle’s path. Another feature is smart city brake support, which senses traffic in front of your Mazda and can apply maximum stopping power when needed.
If you have any questions about these features, our friendly Seacoast Mazda staff can provide all the answers you need. All you need to do is contact us and we’ll take it from there. And if you’d like to see these features in action, you can schedule a test drive right here on our website.
