Performance Technology
The 2021 Mazda CX-30 2.5 Turbo is a trim level of the base model CX-30. The primary feature at this trim level is the upgrade to a 2.5-liter forced-induction Inline 4 turbocharged engine (which is also available on other Mazda models). The turbo engine puts out a strong 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. In comparison, the base model Mazda CX-30 has an engine that puts out 186 horsepower.
Various tests have shown the turbocharged model going from 0 to 60 mph in 8 seconds or less. To get the full power of the turbocharged engine, you’ll have to fill up with 93 octane fuel. Drop to a lower octane, and you’ll lose horsepower and torque, but you’ll still be ahead of the power that the base model engine offers. To enhance performance, the Mazda CX-30 2.5 Turbo engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive powertrain.
Additional Features
The turbo edition of the all-new Mazda CX-30 will have a few other unique features to distinguish the trim level. The Turbo will include the sport black-painted wheels that are top of the line for the model, as well as black mirror caps, and exhaust tips with larger diameters than what you find on the base model. As with other special edition models, you’ll also get exclusive badging on the 2021 Mazda CX-30 2.5 Turbo that shows off its unique identity.
Some interior features offered on the Mazda CX-30 2.5 Turbo includes a premium Bose audio system, a head’s up display for easy access, in-cabin navigation, a heated steering wheel, and a power liftgate. Release Dates
