Seven Trims
The 2021 Mazda CX-5 comes in seven trim levels. They are the Sport, the Touring, the Touring Preferred SV, the Carbon Edition, the Grand Touring, the Grand Touring Reserve and the Signature. All models but the Grand Touring Reserve as well as the Signature models come with front-wheel drive and have the option to be equipped with AWD. The Touring Trim
The Touring trim comes with FWD or AWD and adds push button start, heated front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, rear privacy glass, dual-zone automatic climate control and two rear USB ports. There's an upgraded six speaker stereo, plus auto-leveling LED headlights. It's powered by a 2.5 liter, 187.0 horsepower, 4 cylinder engine mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Touring Preferred SV Trim
Debuting in 2021, the CX-5 Touring Preferred SV trim adds luxurious leather upholstery, a Bose 10-speaker audio system and power front seats, moonroof and liftgate to make the features even better.
The Carbon Edition Trim
The Carbon Edition trim, available with either FWD or AWD, has all the features of the Touring Preferred SV trim and adds Polymetal Gray paint, black door mirrors and black 19-inch alloy wheels outside. Inside it adds red leather seats with black honeycomb trim. The Carbon Edition is available with a turbocharged engine, the only FWD 2021 CX-5 with that option.
The Grand Touring Trim
The Grand Touring trim level has a manual transmission, sport suspension and a limited-slip differential. It has automatic on/off adaptive headlights and automatic high beams and driver side self-dimming heated side mirrors. There's a 7-inch digital gauge, paddle shifters, leather upholstery, navigation, road sign recognition, satellite radio, 10-speaker Bose audio system, automatic climate control, power liftgate along with silver 19-inch alloy wheels.
The Grand Touring Reserve Trim
The Grand Touring Reserve has AWD, a turbo-4 engine, head-up display, front seats that are heated and cooled and heated rear seats. The Signature also adds Nappa leather and wood trim, a surround-view camera system, 19-inch wheels, and rear automatic emergency braking.
The Signature Trim
The Signature trim has adaptive LED headlights, 360-degree surround-view camera, Nappa leather seats, black headliner, wood trim, smart rear braking, Driver Attention Alert, as well as SiriusXM satellite radio.
The Power Source
The standard engine on the 2021 Mazda MX-5 trim levels is a 187 horsepower, 2.5-liter 4-cylinder one that generates 151 pound-feet of torque. It's paired with a six speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters that are mounted underneath the steering wheel.
