2024 Mazda3 Hatchback Trims & Packages

Looking for a city-friendly vehicle that is great for a daily commute and beyond? The Mazda3 is a great vehicle for that. It is available in a Sedan or Hatchback version, but today, we are going to take a closer look at the Hatchback version of this vehicle. The Hatchback version is a great option for many because it offers you a bit more cargo space than the Sedan option. In the Hatchback, you can get about 20.1 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and about 47.1 cubic feet with those rear seats folded down.

Below, we are going to break down all the Mazda3 Hatchback trim options you have for the 2024 model year. Before we do, we want to take a quick look at the engine options for this vehicle. Most trim levels are found with the base 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. This engine gives you 191-horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. However, there are some “Turbo” models below that are found with the turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that can give you 250-horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque. There are also some things that are new for 2024 that are worth noting. One new feature is the larger 10.25-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also have an entirely new trim option in the 2.5 Carbon Turbo trim that you can learn more about below.

2.5 S Select Sport

You get a lot of amazing features standard in the Hatchback 2.5 S Select Sport trim. This trim is the base option for the Hatchback version (however, there is a different base model for the sedan, which is the 2.5 S trim that is not available in the Hatchback version). The 2.5 S Select Sport Hatchback starts out at a price of $27,125, and it features the base engine mentioned above. In terms of other performance features, you have 18-inch wheels, all-season tires, and front wheel drive. This vehicle gives you standard exterior features like LED lighting, auto on/off headlights, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. You can find this vehicle in exterior colors like Jet Black Mica, Soul Red Crystal Metallic, Deep Crystal Blue Mica, Platinum Quartz Metallic, Machine Gray Metallic, and Ceramic Metallic.

On the inside of this trim, you have black leatherette seating for five, dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, keyless entry, and a push-button start. This vehicle has technology features like Bluetooth, a six-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, USB ports, an infotainment system with an 8.8-inch display screen, and Mazda Connected Services. You also get a 7-inch driver information display, infotainment system voice command, and SMS text message audio delivery and reply.

This trim has a long list of safety features standard, as well. You have standard features like blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, driver attention alert, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, radar cruise control with stop and go, a rear seat alert, and a rearview camera.

2.5 S Preferred

As you can see above, the Select Sport trim has a lot to offer in terms of standard features. The 2.5 S Preferred trim just adds a few features, and only jumps up a little in price to $28,555. On the inside, this trim adds features like heated front seats, a power moonroof, side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals, and an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.

2.5 S Carbon Edition

The Carbon Edition trim starts at a price of $31,425 for the Hatchback version, and it gives you some nice interior and exterior upgrades in terms of style and comfort. This vehicle comes in an exterior color of Polymetal Gray Metallic.

On the inside, this vehicle gives you standard red leather-trimmed sport seats, HD radio, and an 8-speaker audio system. This trim level gives you all-wheel drive.

2.5 Carbon Turbo

Also, brand new for the 2024 model year, the 2024 Mazda3 Carbon Edition is available with the turbocharged engine option that gives you up to 250-horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque. This will start at a price of $34,115 for the Hatchback. It will include features like bespoke paint, a new 10.25-inch infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the turbocharged engine.

2.5 S Premium

Next is your 2.5 S Premium trim, which is only available in the Hatchback version (there is no sedan version of this trim). It comes in at a price of $31,515. This trim gives you some interior upgrades like a Bose 12-speaker premium audio system and a navigation system. When it comes to interior comfort and style, you can have either black leather or red leather in your Mazda3 2.5 S Premium.

You add safety features like a windshield projected active driving display that projects important vehicle information right in your line of sight. You also add traffic sign recognition, an adaptive front-lighting system, and you can get a six-speed manual transmission. You also get a roof-mounted shark-fin antenna.

2.5 Turbo Premium Plus

Finally, you have the 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus Hatchback, which will cost you $37,815. The biggest difference with this trim from the previous options is the turbocharged engine is standard. This is a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine that can give you up to 250-horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, and it has manual and sport modes, as well as all wheel drive. When it comes to fuel efficiency, you can expect to get around 23 city and 31 highway miles per gallon.

You also get features like a heated steering wheel, a larger 10.25-inch center display for your infotainment system, and a couple additional safety features. Your added safety features are reverse smart brake support and rear crossing smart brake support.
