Mazda has given the CX-3 SUV a redesign, giving the subcompact SUV new features aimed at making it more of a premium vehicle. The 2019 Mazda CX-3 builds on the 2018 model’s refinements, though at a small price bump, making it even more upscale. Here are some of the things we know about the new 2019 Mazda CX-3 so far!

Redesigned Exterior Styling

The 2019 Mazda CX-3 has received an excellent exterior redesign, with an emphasis on boldness and interesting lines. This is proven with the 11-bar grille insert, and chrome accented lower bumper, which is echoed on the lower doors. Additionally, the taillights have received a new LED signature, which makes it really stand out.

Add in the new 2019 Mazda’s extra-cost Soul Red Crystal paint color, and you have yourself a vehicle that’s guaranteed to warrant a double take.

New Interior Comforts

For the first time in the Mazda CX-3’s line up, the higher-level trims will have full-leather seat surfaces and will feature exceptional and detailed stitching. These leather seat covers will be wider, and feature firmer foam support than previous seating options, giving a genuinely comfortable and high-quality feel.

Additionally, there will also be an available faux suede trim and shiny red accents on the dash, making the interior stand out overall.

More Power than Before

While it’s not a substantial increase, the 2019 Mazda CX-3 does feature a small boost in power over the previous year’s model, offering 148 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque with its 2.0-liter engine, an increase of two for each category. Mazda states that the new tuning increased torque across the rpm range, giving the best possible performance.

However, these details cannot be confirmed until a test drive of the new Mazda CX-3 has been made, and so we’ll only have the manufacturer’s word on it.
