The 2018 Ford Focus sedan comes in five trim levels: S, SE, SEL, Titanium, and ST.

The 2018 Focus comes standard with a 2.0-liter inline-4 engine that kicks out 146 pound-feet of torque, which is less than the 2018 Mazda6's engine output despite being the same size. Additionally, the 2018 Focus's engine is less fuel-efficient than the 2018 Mazda6's, as shown in the chart above. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, but car shoppers unsure about driving a stick can opt for an automatic transmission for an extra cost. Moving inside, the 2018 Focus is notably missing features such as cruise control and Forward Obstruction Warning, both of which come standard on the 2018 Mazda6.

The 2018 Mazda6 comes in three impressive trim levels: Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring. The Sport trim comes equipped with a 2.0-liter SKYACTIV®-G four-cylinder engine that generates 150 horsepower, while the Touring and Grand Touring trims have a high-power 2.5-liter SKYACTIV®-G engine that delivers 184 horsepower. Each trim comes also standard with high-quality features that cost extra on many competitors, such as a 7-inch full-color touchscreen infotainment display, Pandora® internet radio integration, Push Button Start, a rearview camera, Smart City Brake Support, and halogen headlights. The Touring and Grand Touring trims add on even more standard features, both adding Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
