2024 Mazda CX-5 Trims and Packages
The Mazda CX-5 compact crossover model has been around since 2012 and is now in its second generation. Positioned above the slightly smaller CX-30 in the Mazda SUV family, the Mazda CX-5 just happens to be Mazda's best-selling model.

What's New for 2024?
With the recent upgrade in 2022, the 2024 Mazda CX-5 model continues with very little changes.
For 2024, the CX-5 is available in eight trims with two engine options.
Mazda has added a Carbon Turbo trim level for 2024 fitted with the 256-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four engine.
2024 Mazda CX-5 Interior
The high-quality materials used in the CX-5 make the CX-5 feel like a vehicle from a class above.
The CX-5 cabin is driver-oriented, and controls are within easy reach, with considerations like the front-seat armrests that are all at the same height for optimal comfort.
Standard across-the-range interior comfort appointments are abundant and include the likes of dual-zone automatic climate control with pollen filter, speed-sensitive power door locks with 2-stage unlocking, dual covered illuminated visor vanity mirrors, map lights, dome light and cargo light, power windows with one-touch down/up feature and rear air conditioning vents.
Around the cabin, several small storage areas are handily fitted to accommodate daily travel necessities. A center console with a deep tray at the front and a useful bin and removable shelf add to passenger convenience.
Weekend travel and daily shopping are a breeze, with the CX-5's cargo area offering up to 59.3 cubic feet of total load space once the 60/40-split rear seats have been folded down. Easy loading is courtesy of the completely flat cargo floor.
Exterior Styling
Back in 2012, the CX-5 was the first vehicle to showcase Mazda's Kodo design with reflective curved exterior panels.
The 2024 CX-5's sleek and elegant design wears the restyled bumpers and tailgate along with new-look headlights and tail lights received in 2022, and larger tailpipes add a sporty touch at the rear.
Standard exterior features include a roof-mounted "shark fin" antenna, body-colored rear roof spoiler, dual exhaust outlets with a bright finish, rear privacy glass and AWD badge plus more.
All trims are fitted with alloy wheels from 17 inches to 19 inches, and the 2024 Mazda CX-5 range is available in seven exterior colors.
Powertrain
Standard engine fitment on the CX-5 is a naturally aspirated Skyactiv-G,four-cylinder 2.5-liter, double overhead cam (DOHC) gasoline engine that makes 187-horsepower@ 6,000 rpm with 185 lb-ft of torque @ 4,000 rpm.
Turbo trims use the powerful turbocharged 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G four-cylinder, making 256 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque on 93 octane gas.
Automatic transmission and the i-Active AWD drivetrain are standard across the range.
2024 Mazda CX-5 Technology Features
The 2024 Mazda CX-5 features a long list of standard features plus options trim dependent.
Included are Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) technology G-Vectoring Control Plus to respond to driver steering inputs, assisting with gentle engine and braking adjustments.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
Your safety is assured as the Mazda CX-5 has been awarded a 2023 IIHS Top Safety Pick Award and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's 5-star overall safety rating.
A comprehensive list of standard safety features includes the i-Activsense safety package that comprises advanced driving aids inclusive, blind-spot warnings, lane departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, advanced smart city brake support with day and night-time pedestrian detection and available Traffic Jam Assist, and more.
Fuel Economy and MPG
The base-engined CX-5 returns EPA figures of 26 mpg on city driving and 31 mpg on highway. Turbo models return 22 mpg city driving and 27 mpg on the highway.
Mazda CX-5 Trim Levels and Pricing
Select
The entry-level Select trim offers a generous list of features and creature comforts. Interior features include standard leatherette upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control with heated front seats and front and rear USB ports.
Convenient automatic leveling LED headlights, keyless entry, privacy glass, and automatic rain-sensing wipers are fitted, and in-car Infotainment sees a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity.
The Select trim sees fitment of 17-inch gray metallic alloy wheels wrapped in P225/65 R17 all-season tires.
Preferred
As well as all the features of the base model, the Preferred trim adds power-operated front seats, genuine black or brown leather upholstery, power lumbar support plus memory settings for the driver's seat, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror, along with a power moonroof and power liftgate.
Premium
At this price point, buyers of the Premium trim get the Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) system featuring normal, off-road, and sport-driving modes.
The Premium adds the likes of 19-inch alloy rims, adaptive front lighting, heated side mirrors, paddle shifters, a seven-inch LCD meter display, and the front LED daytime running lights, plus more.
Premium Plus
The Premium Plus adds to an already impressive list of features: a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, full-color heads-up-display (HUD), power-folding wing mirrors, plus a windshield wiper de-icer.
Carbon Turbo
The Carbon Turbo, fitted with the 2.5-liter turbocharged engine, sees terracotta leather seats and a stylish black headliner as standard.
Exterior highlights are the Zircon Sand Metallic or Rhodium White paint with exclusive black exterior accents and bespoke 19-inch black metallic alloy wheels.
Turbo Premium
The Turbo Premium features all the niceties of the Premium model but adds further to the package with red interior stitching, an active driving display, traffic jam assist, and a gloss black front grille on the front.
Turbo Signature
The 2024 Mazda CX-5 Turbo Signature, as the range-topping model, offers a luxury cabin kitted out with luxury Nappa leather seats, a genuine woodgrain interior trim, LED interior lights and ambient foot illumination.
Further driver convenience features are the standard navigation, frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror, 360-degree monitor, and front and rear parking sensors.
The Turbo Signature is differentiated by its silver 19-inch alloy wheels and gunmetal front grille.
