However, there is also an RF Club and RF Grand Touring. Learn more about what these trim options can offer you below.

SPORT

The base trim option for the 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata is the Miata Sport. The Sport trim has a starting price of $25,500. This trim comes with standard cloth upholstery, but it offers you a comfortable experience for the driver and passenger. It gives you standard features including the manual-folding soft top, a Mazda Connect infotainment system, a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, and a rearview camera. You also get a six-speaker audio system, HD radio, two USB ports, and keyless entry.

CLUB

The Club trim jumps up to a starting price of $29,500. This trim offers you all the features in the 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata Sport, but it adds some additional features. These additional features include heated seats, a Bose audio system, and satellite radio. You also get safety features such as blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert. Also, if you have the Miata Club model with the manual transmission, you will get a sport-tuned suspension with a limited-slip differential and Bilstein shocks.

GRAND TOURING

Next up is the Mazda MX-5 Miata Grand Touring trim. This vehicle starts out at $30,500. It has all the features on the lower level trims plus it adds leather upholstery, automatic climate change, and a navigation system. You also get a lot of additional safety features standard in the 2019 Miata Grand Touring. These safety features include rain-sensing windshield wipers, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, automatic headlights, and low-speed automatic emergency braking.

RF CLUB

The Mazda MX-5 Miata RF Club has a starting price of $32,345. This trim level is very similar to the Club trim. The key difference is the body type. Both the Club and the RF Club are the same size and they offer you the same engine, but they have a different roof. The RF stands for “retractable fastback.” This term refers to a hard-top convertible roof. That means the Club trim has a soft-top roof made from canvas, but the RF Club has a hard-top roof. Other than that, the RF Club offers you the same standard features that the Club trim offers you.

RF GRAND TOURING

The RF Grand Touring will cost you $33,335. As discussed above, the RF refers to the hard-top convertible roof. This means that the RF Grand Touring still offers you all the same features as the Grand Touring like the leather upholstery, rain-sensing windshield wipers, traffic sign recognition, and more. The only difference is the RF trim has the hard-top roof.

WHICH IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Now that we did a trim comparison for the 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata, you can determine which of these trim options is the right one for you. Your final decision will come down to which features are most important for you.

The base Miata Sport trim is a good option for you if you are on a budget. This is the least expensive trim option. It also gives you a good amount of features for your money. You get the standard Mazda Connect infotainment with a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, a rearview camera, and more. However, if you are looking for the hard-top option that is not available in the Sport trim, you will have to jump up to the Club or Grand Touring trim for that option.

The second trim option is the Club and RF Club. This is a good option if you are looking to increase your performance a bit more. This trim offers you features like a sport-tuned suspension and Bilstein shocks. You also get a few safety features like blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert. The RF trim is for the hard-top. This is slightly more expensive, but if that is something that is important to you, it is totally worth the money.

Your final trim option is the Grand Touring. This is the most luxurious trim with leather upholstery and automatic climate control. Another plus with this trim is all the standard safety features including but not limited to lane departure warning, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and traffic sign recognition. The RF option is also available in the Grand Touring.

When you make your final decision, you will have to think about which features are most important to you, and then, you will pick the trim that offers you those features. However, any trim option for the 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata is a good choice.
