Mazda vehicles are known for their high-end style, as well as the fun driving experience they offer. Mazda always pays close attention to the engine options and overall handling and driving experience. Engine Options:

• 2.0-liter four-cylinder – This 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is the base engine for the Mazda3. This engine comes with front-wheel drive only, and it produces 155-horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
• 2.5-liter four-cylinder – The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine is the next option. This engine was the one found in previous Mazda3 model years. It gives you 186-horsepower. This engine can be found on Mazda models that are labeled 2.5S, and you can choose the Preferred, Select, or Premium packages to go with the 2.5S engine.
• Turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder – Your final engine option for the Mazda3 is an engine that can be found in some other Mazda vehicles like the CX-5 and CX-9. This turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine gives you 250-horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque. This engine is found on Mazda models that are called 2.5 Turbo. Above, we discussed the engine options for the 2021 Mazda3. The first decision you have to make when looking at a Mazda3 is your engine option. Each engine option can be found with the different packages listed below, but you have to choose the engine that you want first. It is also important to think about whether or not you want the Mazda3 in the sedan or hatchback version. You have both as available options, and the hatchback offers you more cargo space and the look of a small SUV, while the sedan option offers you the more traditional trunk space and sedan style.

Mazda3 Base

The Mazda3 Base is your first trim option. This will be the most affordable option, but it still has some great features for you. This base model will be found with the 2.0-liter engine option. The Base trim can be found with technology features like an 8.8-inch display with the Mazda Connect Infotainment system, a 7-inch LCD meter display, push-button start, and LED headlights. This trim also offers you some standard safety features to look out for you. You get safety features like smart brake support, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and driver attention alert.
This will be your most affordable Mazda3 option, but you can upgrade to a more powerful
engine and other package options if you are looking for more out of your vehicle.

Mazda3 Select

If you choose to step up to the 2.5-liter engine, you can find that engine with the Select, Preferred, or Premium packages. This engine is more powerful, and these packages offer you some additional features. Check out the Select package right here.
When you step up to the Select trim for the Mazda3, you get some added technology features and some great interior features. This trim gives you Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which help you stay connected to your phone and technology when on the road. Many people will choose this trim level because of that added smartphone connectivity. You also get interior features like dual-zone automatic climate control, leatherette-trimmed sport seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Additional safety features for the Select trim include blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert. You also get 18-inch alloy wheels with this model.
This is a great option for many people because it can give you that more powerful engine option, as well as some additional technology like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Mazda3 Preferred

The Preferred package is also found with the 2.5-liter engine, but you get some nice features in addition to that.
With the Preferred package, you get an even more upscale interior than the previous trim levels. The Mazda3 Preferred offers you heated front seats, an 8-way power driver’s seat, and a and a power moonroof. You also get Sirius XM Satellite radio and body-colored folding power side mirrors.

Mazda3 Premium

The Mazda3 Premium can be found with the 2.5-liter engine or the turbocharged 2.5-liter engine. This allows you to get the type of performance that you are really looking for. The Premium package includes features from previous trims, but it adds even more to make your driving experience better and your riding experience more luxurious.
To step up the driving experience, the Mazda3 Premium gives you signature LED headlight and taillights, an adaptive front-lighting system, paddle shifters, and a windshield projected Active Driving Display. This trim level also gives you leather-trimmed sport seats and a Bose 12-speaker premium audio system.

Mazda3 Premium Plus

The Premium Plus package for the Mazda3 is only available with the turbocharged 2.5-liter engine. This means that you can get the best performance and the most features in this trim. This will be your high-end option for the Mazda3. The Premium Plus will also give you a few extra interior features like a heated steering wheel, perforated leather-trimmed sport seats, a Mazda navigation system, traffic sign recognition, and more.
As you can see, there are a lot of choices to be made with the 2021 Mazda3 trims. The first decision you have to make is the type of engine you want in your vehicle. In the past, the Mazda3 has not offered you multiple options, but for 2021, you now have three engine options.
The engine you choose will help determine the model you can get. However, there are still some choices to be made about the specific interior features you are looking for. It is important to think about which features are most important to you, and that can help you decide which of these trims/packages is the right option for you.
