But if you want a little more power and speed, Mazda offers the ability to turbocharge that same engine, increasing the horsepower to an impressive 250. Not only that, but the torque jumps to 310 ft-lb, which translates to a much faster 5.8-second 0 to 60 time.
Finally, every Mazda CX-30 comes standard with an all-wheel-drive drivetrain, which is a huge perk if the roads are a little uneven or slippery.
Cargo Space and Clearance
The CX-30 has 20.2 cubic feet of cargo space without using any of the seats, and if you do fold the seats down, you can more than double the usable cargo area to an impressive 45.2 cubic feet. This gives you the ability to pack up whatever gear you want and take it on the road with ease.
Moreover, with 8 inches of ground clearance, you have plenty of space to get off-road a little bit and have a few adventures.
Standard Features
One of the things that Mazda does so well is including safety features standard with their vehicles. They don’t feel like safety should be an optional upgrade, and they want it in all of their vehicles.

Kia is well-known for creating great vehicles with tons of features, and the Kia Seltos certainly doesn’t disappoint. It has tons of standard features and is surprisingly quick, not to mention the copious amounts of storage space. We’ll dive into it all for you here.

The Kia Seltos has two different engine options, a standard 2.0-liter engine and an upgraded 1.6-liter turbocharged engine.
The standard engine pushes 146 horsepower and has 132 ft-lb of torque. That translates to a quick 7.3 second 0 to 60 time.
If you opt for the smaller but more powerful turbocharged 1.6-liter engine, those numbers jump to 175 horsepower and 195 ft-lb of torque. Those increased performance numbers drop the 0 to 60 time to just 6.6 seconds, making it a quick option off the line.
Finally, every turbocharged Kia Seltos comes standard with an all-wheel-drive drivetrain, making it a little easier to get traction on uneven and slippery surfaces. However, the non-turbocharged engine only has an all-wheel-drive as an optional add-on.
Cargo Space and Clearance
With 26.6 cubic feet of storage without the seating area and an impressive 62.8 cubic feet of storage, including the rear seating area, the Kia Seltos has plenty of space for whatever you need to take from place to place.
It also sits 7.3 inches off the ground, which gives you a little better view of everything around and the ability to tackle a little more rugged terrain.
Standard Features
Just like Mazda, Kia offers a whole suite of features standard with the Kia Seltos. Those standard features include automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights.
Every Kia Seltos has both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but from there, most of the technological features are available as optional upgrades.
Finally, every Kia Seltos comes with a 5-year/60,000-mile comprehensive warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
When You Want a Mazda CX-30
If you want a crossover SUV that has the ability to get off-road a little more, handle a few more conditions, and is just a pure joy to drive, then the Mazda CX-30 is the way to go.
It might be a “crossover” SUV, but Mazda really highlighted the off-road capabilities with this vehicle. You can take your family out to any campground with ease, and since every 2022 CX-30 is all-wheel-drive, they’re a great choice when road conditions are less than ideal.
When You Want a Kia Seltos
The Kia Seltos is the perfect compact SUV for families. They provide a ton of extra storage space which is great for traveling to sporting events or just bringing home groceries.
They’re not as great as the Mazda CX-30 for off-road things, but they still provide more ground clearance than sedans and an optional all-wheel-drive drivetrain. That’s enough for most applications, so don’t overthink it if you want to go camping or something similar and have a Kia Seltos.
