There’s no denying the 2024 CX-90 is a great vehicle. It comes loaded with features, comfort, and style, but you’ll still need to figure out which trim level you want before getting one.

No matter what trim level you get you’re getting an outstanding 3-row SUV, but you don’t want to expect features you’re not getting simply because you picked the wrong trim. We want you to make an informed decision and get the vehicle you want, which is why we came up with this guide highlighting some of the key differences at each trim level.

2024 CX-90 Trims & Packages

With eight different trim levels and packages to pick from with the 2024 CX-90, there’s no shortage of options out there. But it also means there are a lot of potential choices. We’ve highlighted each option for you here so you can make an informed decision and get the perfect 2024 CX-90 for you.

3.3 Turbo Select

While the 3.3 Turbo Select is the base model 2025 CX-90, it has so many features that it won’t feel like a base model vehicle. For starters, it comes with a 280-horsepower inline 6 engine that pushes more than enough power to press you flat against your seat when you push down the accelerator.

Next, it comes with an all-wheel drive system so you don’t need to worry about getting stuck anywhere. On the technological side of things it comes with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, a 10.25” color touchscreen display where you can control everything, heated side mirrors, front and second-row USB ports, and a 3-zone climate control system.

There are also tons of safety features throughout, including a blind spot monitoring system with rear-cross traffic alerts, a lane departure warning system with lane keeping assist, a driver attention alert system, radar cruise control with stop-and-go technology, and a smart brake support system!

3.3 Turbo Preferred

With so many great features the 3.3 Turbo Select Mazda really has to up its game to get you to consider going with a higher trim level with the 3.3 Turbo Preferred, and they don’t miss the mark.

The 3.3 Turbo Preferred ditches the leatherette interior for either greige or black leather, there are heated front seats, and the front passenger seat has a 4-way power adjustment to go with the 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat. Additionally, the third row gets to USB ports to go with the ones already in the first and second rows, and there are three new color options for you to pick from.

But the real selling point with the 3.3 Turbo Preferred is the power sliding moonroof that even has a tilt function.

3.3 Turbo Preferred Plus

One step up from the Turbo Preferred trim level is the Turbo Preferred Plus and it has a few features that make it worth considering. First, it’s the first trim level that comes with everything you need to tow with it, even upping the maximum towing capacity from 3,500 pounds to 5,000 pounds and giving you a towing driving mode.

It’s also the first trim level with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and it’ll charge your devices wirelessly if they’re compatible.

Additional features include a radar cruise control system with an automatic speed limit assist and a traffic sign recognition system that goes onto an active driving display.

3.3 Turbo Premium

If you want even more premium features, the Turbo Premium trim level might be the way to go. One of the biggest upgrades comes with the sound system, which gets an awesome Bose 12 speaker system. This trim level only comes with 2nd-row captain chairs, which does reduce the maximum seating capacity to 7.

This trim level also gives the tires an upgrade, adding another 2” to take the tires from 19” to 21”. Furthermore, the rearview mirror now has an auto-dimming feature, is frameless, and comes with HomeLink capabilities. Finally, there are two additional color options you can pick from starting at this trim level.

3.3 Turbo Premium Plus

If you don’t want the more powerful engine option the Turbo Premium Plus comes with all the bells and whistles. These upgraded features include either a white or black Nappa-trimmed leather interior, an 8-way power adjustable passenger seat, automatic power-folding side mirrors, and an auto-dimming driver-side mirror.

But those are just some of the premium features at this trim level, others include a heated steering wheel, heated second-row seats, ventilated front seats, and upgrades to the rearview monitor that includes a 360-degree view, a larger 12.3” display, and dynamic guidelines on the rearview camera.

This trim level is luxury through and through.

3.3 Turbo S

The Turbo S is the first trim level that includes the more powerful 340 horsepower inline-six engine, but from there it actually comes with fewer premium comfort features compared to the 3.3 Turbo Premium Plus.

The features it loses include the smart brake support system when in reverse, the 360-degree monitor, the Nappa leather seats, the heated second-row seats, and the heated steering wheel. However, it is the first trim level with an adaptive front lighting system.

3.3 Turbo S Premium

The 3.3 Turbo S Premium trim level starts to bring back some of the luxury features while still giving you the more powerful engine option. Features that come back at this trim level include the auto-dimming driver-side mirror, the Nappa leather seats, the heated steering wheel, the 360-degree monitor, and the smart brake support system while in reverse.

Keep in mind that this trim level only comes with enough seats for six people though, so if you need the extra seating capacity this isn’t the trim level for you.

3.3 Turbo S Premium Plus

The 3.3 Turbo S Premium Plus is as good as it gets, and it has quite a few awesome features. It comes with either quilted tan or premium white Nappa leather seats, a 2-tone leather-wrapped steering wheel, ventilated front seats, ventilated second-row seats, heated second-row seats, and so much more.

It still only comes with a 6-passenger capacity, but no matter where you’re sitting in this vehicle it feels like luxury.
