2024 Mazda Miata Trims and Packages

Miata

Mazda MX-5 Miata just happens to be the world's best-selling sports car ever and retains its charm where both everyday passenger cars and even sports cars are becoming more and more complicated.

The Mazda Miata MX-5 sticks to its roots, providing drivers with refreshingly pure and elemental driving enjoyment. Mazda Miata is offered with either a soft top or the RF-named retractable hardtop version and in three trim levels.

Read on to discover what's to be expected for the 2024 Mazda Miata lineup.

Sport

Entry into the Mazda Miata range starts with the Sport trim that is fitted with a SKYACTIV-G 2.0 DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder with VVT engine producing 181 horsepower @ 7000 rpm and 151 pound-feet of torque @ 4,000 rpm. The Miata uses the much-loved layout of a front midship engine with drive going to the rear wheels through a SKYACTIV-MT 6-speed manual transmission with a short-throw shifter.

Exterior trim highlights on the base Sport Include LED headlights, Daytime running lights and LED tail lights. Black power side mirrors are standard fitment, including a body-colored front bumper, rear bumper and door handles.

The Miata range is standard with an aluminum hood and aluminum trunk lid to boost weight saving, and convertible variants all sport a black cloth convertible top. At the rear, the Miata Sport is fitted with a mast antenna.

The Miata Sport rides on 16 x 6-inch aluminum alloy wheels finished in Metallic Black with P195/50 R16 high-performance tires. The Sport is available in a choice of two exterior colors, Soul Red Crystal Metallic and Jet Black Mica.

With plenty of standard features, the cabin of the 2024 Mazda Miata does not disappoint. Standard creature comforts in the Sport include air conditioning, power windows with driver's and passenger's one-touch-down features,  power door locks with a speed sensor, and side window demisters. Both occupants get to use their own vanity mirrors, and a courtesy overhead light with dimming is fitted. A convenient 12-volt power outlet powers devices, and the mesh aero board wind blocker adds to occupants' comfort with top-down driving. Cold weather driving with the convertible top-up is helped with a glass rear window fitted along with a defogger function.

The Sport is fitted with black cloth-trimmed bucket seats with integrated headrests and a reclining and forward/back slide feature. On the driver's side, the seat offers tilt adjustment with the driver steering through a leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel, leather-wrapped shift knob and leather-wrapped parking brake handle along with a driver footrest.

Further interior finishes include padded armrests, carpet floor mats and black upper door trim. Two removable cup holders, a locking rear center console and a driver's and a passenger's back panel-covered storage are helpful additions in stashing away travel essentials. Access to the trunk is made easy with a remote trunk lid release, and a standard trunk light is fitted.

The Miata is all about driving enjoyment, and drivers are kept in control with cruise control, push-button start, tilt and telescoping steering and Mazda advanced keyless entry. Full instrumentation sees fitment of black gauges with white lettering, which includes a tachometer, a coolant temperature gauge and a fuel gauge.

The onboard trip computer allows drivers to check on the distance to empty, average fuel economy, current fuel economy, and average vehicle speed.

Audio and Infotainment are well taken care of in the Mazda Miata Sport with the standard 7" full-color touch screen with AM/FM audio system and six speakers, including driver's side headrest speakers. The audio system allows hands-free phone and audio streaming capability with Bluetooth and convenient steering-wheel-mounted audio; phone and cruise controls are fitted. Apple Carplay and Android Auto are standard. Audio volume can be controlled with speed-sensing automatic volume control, and the fitted auxiliary audio input jack and twin USB audio inputs add to listening convenience.

Safety and driver assistance key features include the likes of standard automated emergency braking with forward-collision warning,  blind-spot monitoring with rear-cross traffic alert and adaptive cruise control.

Miata

Club

The Mazda Miata Club is available exclusively via "build to order" through a Mazda dealership of your choice.

The Miata Club adds further to the driving experience of the already highly specced Sport trim with the fitment of sport-tuned suspension with Bilstein dampers, a front shock tower brace, aiding chassis stiffness and a torque-sensing limited-slip rear differential.

The exterior is treated to a black front air dam and a black rear lip spoiler, with larger 17 x 7 aluminum alloy wheels finished in metallic black wrapped in P205/45 R17 high-performance tires. The Sport's standard mast antenna is supplemented with a trunk-mounted "shark fin" antenna.

Buyers are offered a range of seven exterior colors to choose from when building their car to order. The black cloth-trimmed seats get light gray stitching, and the seat back bar trim is finished in piano black. The upper door trims are body-colored, and both seats are heated with three heat settings.

In-car Infotainment is upgraded to a Bose 9-speaker audio system with AudioPilot, playing through additional driver's and passenger's headrest speakers and a subwoofer. AppleCarPlay is wirelessly accessible, and SiriusXM Satellite radio with a 3-month subscription.

Grand Touring

Building onto the same drivetrain specifications of Club trim, the Grand Touring, as the top trim level in the lineup, offers buyers the option of kitting out the Miata with a 6-speed Sport automatic transmission along with paddle shifters; however, the limited-slip differential of the Club is not available with the automatic transmission.

Exterior enhancements include auto on/off headlights with an adaptive front-lighting system and high beam control. The variable-intermittent windshield wipers become rain-sensing, and body-colored heated power side mirrors are standard.

The Grand Touring is finished in a range of six exterior colors, and the 17 x 7 aluminum alloy wheels are finished in dark silver.

The cabin of the Grand Touring trim adds black leather-trimmed seats with an extra-cost terracotta nappa leather option. The doorsill trim plates are finished in black with stainless steel inserts, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror is added.

As well as a Mazda navigation system, this trim adds a standard SiriusXM® 3-year Traffic and Travel Link subscription that includes current information for traffic, weather sports scores, fuel prices and nearby parking or parking by destination.
