The Mazda CX-5 is back with a gorgeous, new model that is fun to drive and is loaded with great features. The 2021 Mazda CX-5 gets a number of technology upgrades that make driving more fun. Here’s a look at what’s on offer for the six trim levels, including a new carbon edition:
Sport
The CX-5 gets an upgrade this year with a 10.3-inch infotainment system display, which you’ll find on every trim level, starting with the base level Sport. The upgrade displaces a 7.0-inch display, so drivers will notice a big difference. Other infotainment upgrades include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which are now standard across trim levels.
Other technology available on the base level Mazda CX-5 includes satellite radio, a radio data system, speed-sensitive volume, a voice-activated radio, remote keyless entry, auto-locking doors, and distance-pacing cruise control.
Touring
With the Touring, you see a few more tech features added. You get Internet access, remote release for the mechanical cargo access, dual-zone automatic temperature control, and remote engine start. You also get additional USB and DC charging ports, and you start having access to many more of the optional features that are available on upper trim levels or in add-on packages.
Carbon Edition
The Carbon Edition is new for the 2021 Mazda CX-5, and it features an exclusive polymetal gray exterior paired with red upholstery. The Carbon Edition comes with everything you’ll find on the Touring trim, but it adds a few features, including Bose stereo, a power-adjustable passenger seat, a sunroof, and a power liftgate.
Grand Touring
As you move into the upper trim levels, you can expect to get the best features. Tech features added at this trim level include an upgraded infotainment system with 10 Bose speakers and an amplifier, a keyfob with hatch release, and front-zone dual air conditioning.
Grand Touring Reserve
Expect a few more tweaks on the Grand Touring Reserve to make driving feel a little more luxurious. Tech features added at this level include a heated steering wheel, heated seats, and more points of adjustment for the driver and passenger seats.
Signature
The Signature trim is the top-level trim, and you can expect to get all the best features at this level. You get all the technology on the previous trim levels, plus a built-in navigation system with voice activation. You also get a number of additional luxury features, such as leather seating.
