2023 Mazda3 Hatchback

The Mazda3 is a compact car, but it is not small on performance. This vehicle is fun to drive, powerful, and fuel efficient. This vehicle can be found in a Sedan or Hatchback version, but below, we will be taking a closer look at the 2023 Mazda3 Hatchback.

What’s New for 2023?

New for the 2023 model, you have a few changes to the performance of this vehicle. One major change to this vehicle is the fact that the base 2.0-liter engine was dropped for this model year. Your base engine is now a 2.5-liter engine, and this 2.5-liter engine also has increased horsepower for the 2023 model.

There are also a few changes to the trim levels offered because of this engine change. The former base model with the 2.0-liter engine is no longer available, so the base model is now the 2.5 S trim.

  • Rear cross traffic alert – This safety feature is to alert you of vehicles that may be crossing behind you as you drive in reverse. It can help you to see vehicles that might be in a blind spot as you are backing out of a parking space or driveway.
  • Blind spot monitoring – This feature will help you to be notified of vehicles that are in your blind spots. It will give you an audible and visual alert when there is a vehicle in your blind spot so you do not try to move your vehicle in that direction.
  • Forward automatic emergency braking – Your Mazda3 also offers you automatic emergency braking or smart brake support. This safety feature monitors in front of your vehicle, and if it detects an imminent collision, it will automatically apply the brakes to avoid or lessen the impact of that collision.
