2020 Mazda CX-9 Trims and Packages

The Mazda CX-9 is a midsize three-row SUV. This SUV has a lot to offer you. This vehicle is known to be fun to drive as well as offering you a lot of great features and technology. For 2020, the Mazda CX-9 gives you a better performance out of its standard engine. This vehicle offers you only one engine in the turbocharged 2.5-liter engine, but this engine gives you plenty of power and capability. It offers you up to 250-horsepower, and new for 2020, this engine gives you 320 pound-feet of torque. This is more torque than the 2019 model. This engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, and it comes standard with front wheel drive. You can update to the all-wheel drive system for added performance and capability. You also get great fuel economy with the 2020 Mazda CX-9 with 22 city and 28 highway miles per gallon.

Each of these four trim levels offer you different standard and available features. These trim levels include the Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, and Signature trims. SPORT

This is the base trim for the 2020 Mazda CX-9. This trim may be the entry-level trim, but it offers you plenty of great features. There are also some additional features for the 2020 model year.

For connective technology, the 2020 Mazda CX-9 Sport offers you gives you the Mazda Connect infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 7-inch touchscreen. You also get standard features like heated front seats, rain-sensing windshield wipers, heated exterior mirrors, and automatic headlights.

When it comes to safety technology, the 2020 CX-9 Sport has upped their game. There is now a suite of driver assistance features standard. This suite of features is called i-Activsense, and it includes blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, smart city brake support, and lane keeping assist.

TOURING

The next trim up is the Touring trim. This trim level unlocks some great connectivity features including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These features can help you stay connected to your phone and your apps while you are on the road. This trim level also gives you leather-trimmed seats, a power liftgate, a keyless entry and start system, and power second-row seats that slide and tilt. In the Touring, you also get a larger 9-inch touchscreen that carries through on every trim level beyond the Sport.

With the Touring trim, you also have the option of added the Premium Package. This package gives you a Bose audio system, sunshades, a power moonroof, and more USB ports. You also get satellite radio, fog lamps, front and rear parking sensors. The Premium Package in the Touring trim also allows you to get second-row captain’s chairs in place of a second-row bench seat. This package will cost you $2,100 to add to your vehicle.

GRAND TOURING

Next up for the 2020 Mazda CX-9 is the Grand Touring trim. This trim level will add some interior comforts like a heated steering wheel and ventilated front seats. The Grand Touring trim also gives you the option of captain’s chairs in the second row of seating, and these captain’s chairs are heated. Other features that can be found in the Grand Touring trim include a 360-degree view monitor and an active driving display with traffic sign recognition.

For the exterior, the Grand Touring gives you features like a hands-free power liftgate and an adaptive front lighting system. You also get chrome exterior accents, satin chrome roof rails, and 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels with Brilliant Silver Finish.

SIGNATURE

The Signature trim is the top of the lineup for the Mazda CX-9. This trim pulls out all the fancy features and luxury materials. On the inside of the Signature trim, you can find real Nappa leather and Santos Rosewood interior trim for a more luxurious look and feel. You also have the option of two new upholstery colors on the Signature trim. These colors include Parchment and Deep Chestnut. The Signature trim also comes with standard second-row captain’s chairs that are heated. These second-row seats also have an elegant center console with storage, cupholders, and USB ports.

You also have a new exterior color option for the 2020 CX-9 Signature, and it is a Soul Red Crystal. On the outside of this vehicle there is also LED grill accent lighting and rear exterior badging.
