2023 Mazda CX-30 vs Mazda CX-50 Performance and Handling

Just because the all-wheel drive Mazda CX-30 is on the shorter side when it comes to SUVs, this does not mean it doesn't have the power because it does. The CX-30 comes with the standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a six-speed automatic. This baseline engine comes with a six-speed automatic transmission and offers 186 pounds of torque and up to 191 horsepower.

For those looking for more power, you can choose the Turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that comes with 320 pounds of torque and an impressive 250 raw horsepower.

Both cars have comfortable handling, especially the CX-30 with its crisp and responsive steering making driving along curvy and twisty roads a fun experience. The CX-50's turbocharged engine and fast throttle response time made handling on rough terrain a breeze.

2023 Mazda CX-30 vs Mazda CX-50 Exterior

When it comes to the exterior of the car, Mazda has done a great job at designing a car that is sporty and elegant. This is seen in the round curves and sharp edges in both cars. The designers of the sleek Mazda CX-30 went for a Kodo design philosophy. The idea behind this philosophy is that there is always movement, even if the car is stationary.

The CX-30 weighs around 3,388 to 3,505 pounds and measures 14.4 feet in length. The CX-50 is just larger than the CX-30, measuring up to 15.5 feet in length while weighing between 3,706 to 3,907 pounds.

While the CX-50 does have an elegant and modern design, when compared to the CX-30, it is a lot more rugged, which is okay as this model handles the off-road terrain rather well thanks to its 17-inch wheels with all-season tires.

Both cars come with a variety of different colors and trims, as well as ED headlights, daytime running lights,rain-sensing windshield wipers, heated side mirrors with turn signals, and a moonroof.
