That’s because the new CX-30 was inspired by its siblings the Mazda 3 and the Mazda CX-3. The SkyActiv architecture that was unveiled with the 2019 Mazda 3 underpins the styling of the 2020 Mazda CX-30. You’ll notice many of the same details, such as the geometrical, mesh grille and the streaking headlights.
